In January of '06, there was a bill in Virginia to allow CCW permit
holders to carry guns on campus. It was defeated.

"Virginia Tech spokesman Larry Hincker was happy to hear the bill was
defeated. "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the
General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students,
faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus."

Good call, Larry !!!!!

So, when a homicidal maniac decides to walk in to a building, chain
the doors shut so no one can get in or out, and start shooting, he's
guaranteed to be the only one inside with a gun.

What a great plan !!!!!!!

And there's the punchline.....'feel' safe as opposed to being safe!
