Someone was being offered a mint Electra Glide Classic for a decent
price, and it's a 2005 model. What are the issues (if any) with that
year/model?

IIRC there was a frame update, engine bumped up to 96" (from 88) and a
6-speed box in 2007. Some 88" motors had cam drive troubles. A bunch of
folks here are far more knowledgable than I on the subject - hopefully
they'll expand/correct my remarks.

I'm an Evo guy , but lot of friends ride TC's . Cams/bearings/tensioners
are a recurring theme , most up date to the latest shoes and chains , some
go gear drive . Caution - some cranks are not suited for gear drive , too
much runout . I'm pretty sure they had the EFI issues ironed out by then
(has it got O2 sensors?) the only other thing I can think of is rear
suspension issues . They made changes over the years to improve handling ,
but I'm not sure about what happened when ...

Thanks both. A bit more info needed here. I might have a poke around a
Harley forum. Any recommended?
