I should do a little more of that myself.
This afternoon I was driving (in my Jeep) along a fairly busy
retail/commercial section of 9th ave SE. The mini van in front of me
stopped to let a family cross in the marked and light controlled cross
walk. I stopped behind the mini van and seconds later got rammed from
behind by a GMC half ton. It was a pretty good whack, probably totaled
the Jeep and left me feeling a bit woozy. Needless to say I didn't
see it coming.
Of course I can't help but think what would have happened if I was
riding the bike? We all know when we stop in traffic to point our bike
to a clear escape route and keep an eye on the traffic coming up
behind us, but do we do it all the time?
I tell ya, I sure will be doing that all the time from now on.

Thanks Vito. I'll survive. Although the Jeep wasn't new I just bought
it a few weeks ago so it is a bit of a piss off.
