He thinks that the laws of physics are different in Europe and that
therefore nothing learned anywhere in Europe is applicable to the United
States.

It's easy to say a war is so important your neighbor should go fight it for you.

I wish I had more! My wish list would be:
Vincent Black Shadow
Norton Commando
JAP Brough Superior
Triumph Trident
Kawasaki Z1A (Wish I'd never sold it)
Indian Square 4
V-Rod
R1
Ducati 996

There's a story about a CA BDC who did that and then announced, "Hah! I
got one!" Another cager told the CHP officer who investigated the
resulting mess, and he arrested the BDC for attempted murder.

Well, in the Netherlands, that would still put the pickup driver legally
at fault and clean up the insurance mess in favor of the biker.
However, riding a motorcycle I don't want to end up onder a tombstone
saying "Here lies Mike, he had the right of way". So was it smart to
continue in this situation? No I don't think so.
But, there are countless examples of people flying out of a corner and
hitting a tree, both in cars as well as on motorbikes. Yet, no one is
arguing that we should stop cornering and only drive in straight lines.
An example of any one splitting lanes in an unsafe manner does not mean
splitting lanes is unsafe always. People get hit in crosswalks as well,
should we stop crossing the street?
