No the race NOT being run enboldened the criminals. The poor little
cowards wouldn't have made that attack with a couple of hundred
motorcycles around.
I mean think of it this way. If terrorists will attack a woman wearing
furs but wont attacks a motorcyclist wearing leather...the word it is
out.

Right. So far the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force haven't scared them
out of Iraq, but those same terrorists going to be afraid of attacking a
bunch on unarmed bikers in North Africa.
Good thinking, Keith. (Whew!)

Being distressingly sane, I *can't* think of it that way. The anti-fur PETA
types are not fundamentalist Muslim terrorists, and anyone confusing the two
has slipped beyond the turbid whirlpool of insanity and is now sculling
gently in the calm waters on the far side; completely undisturbed by any
vestige of reality.
Get a grip, man!

OK, I am hereby nominating the above for the monthly
Bulwer-Lytton Writing Prize, Reeky Division. Bravo,

Ahem! Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking, I'm sure you're wondering why
I've called you all here today.
