I need something to help stabilize my Road King's front end. Since I've lost
all this weight the front end is not exactly stable. It's okay, the Dealer
says it's good. But it shakes a bit when I change lanes, go over a rough
surface and go over botts dots.
Unlike the '06 K1200GT, which is rock solid.
Funny, what affects the GT is high winds. High winds don't seem to have much
of an effect on the RK.

What year is your Road King ? Before about 06 there were some
handling issues . Usually related to higher speeds , it's an issue with
the rear suspension . Check out www.ridestr8.com for one solution . My
solution for my '90 Ultra includes a heim link under the trans to
control lateral movement , and some aluminum-bronze/4140 steel swingarm
bushings of my own design that I made on my lathe .
I added the heim link late last summer , and it improved high speed
stability a bunch . The bushings are ready to install (along with new
rubbermounts and a front motor mount)as soon as the weather warms up a
bit . Sure wish I had somewhere better than the driveway to work on
bikes ... this should have been done while it was cold out .
