Good to see people acting sanely and doing the right thing.

There may be hope for humanity after all. Despite the circumstances,
that rescue was nice to see.

Wonder if anybody considered just dragging the burning motorcycle
away from the motorcyclist, pulling it by its unengulfed back tire.
Heroic action, but the only time I ever saw a crowd try to lift a bike
off
a motorcyclist, they were not succeeding or working very effectively.

I was kind of worried when I first saw the video, as there didn't seem
to be any leadership in directing seeming clueless people from
wandering around aimlessly. Happily, they go it together in the end.
Too bad the motorcyclist didn't bullet his way thru the windshield and
take out the oaf driving. It's a good thing I wasn't on scene as I
probably would have thrown the driver in the fire before getting
around to the wounded guy.

I encountered a scene like that one time, where a crowd of people
was attempting to lift the front end of a front engined car off a
motorcyclist.
Interestingly, nobody had thought to ask the occupants of the car to
get
out either, so they were trying to lift both the car and four
passengers.
With my car jack, we got the car off easily. Then I realized that the
people
were still sitting in the car.
Turned out nobody had thought to to call 911 either. Meanwhile, the
rider
was wandering around aimlessly with a little trickle of blood on his
forhead
and a really green colored face, mumbling "I feel fine. Really, I feel
fine".
We got his friends to make him sit down and eventually the fire
department
showed up and trucked him away in an ambulance.
I was really surprised that so many well intentioned people could be
so
ineffective.
Glad this turned out OK too.
