Brilliant! Glad the clutch was a free-be (for now). Burnouts please
everyone from kids to grannies, so congratulations for doing your
community a service.......and who would have thought a Harley would go
fast enough to get a ticket! :)

Well, she WAS going down a real steep hill at the time...

That explains it. :) Do you have a demerit points system with your
tickets where you can lose your licence from speeding?

Flipping through a bike book I came across the Harley VR1000.

60 degree V twin, 177kg (390lb), 135+ horsepower, Wilwood 6 piston
calipers, Ohlins forks.......looks like more fun than an Aprilia!

Yep, she gets some demerits since the cops pulled her over.

If it had been photo radar, there wouldn't have been demerits, just
the fine (and the fine would have been directed to me because the bike
is registered under my name!).

If I'm not mistaken, those VR1000s are ancient history now.

Pretty much the same as here.......I'm on my last 10 points (any ticket
will put me over.) and am seriuosly considering a radar detector! As it
is, I just follow a couple of mates with detectors. I use the term
'follow' loosely, it's more like try and keep up. :)

yeah, it was made in '94, by the looks of it as a race bike? Endurance
racer? Sort of reminds me of the Guzzi Daytona's.

A pity Harley Davidson didn't carry on with the sportsbike line (the VR
also had 4 valve heads, liquid cooling and fuel injection), but I suppose
they had the Buell for that?
