A successful day in court has me back on the road again in a limited
capacity for the next 11 weeks until my full licence returns. I'm
allowed to drive to work and back.....just enough driving to keep my
sanity. Went straight from the courthouse to the gun shop and picked up
a new .308 bolt action.....nothing like retail therapy to keep a smile
on my face.
Two Honda CBR1000RR's were damaged on the Wednesday night ride....a
husband and wife with matching bikes......he was in front and lost the
front end and trashed one side of his bike and got a shake up, she
stopped and dropped her bike getting off....breaking her arm in the
process!
The guy telling me the tale has replaced his Triumph headlight with 4
spotlights, 2 for low beam, 2 for high beam as well as putting two more
into the air ducts on the fairing, angled out to light the road edges
(The fairing is off another model so they aren't blocking anything). He
also had heated grips and a lap top charger wired in as well. He's a
mobile Triumph mechanic with the job of riding around the country fixing
bikes at the owners place's and he does a shitload of night riding. It
looks impressive from the front, thats for sure!.
A mate is taking my bike up (on the back of a ute) to the shop in
Auckland for it's next service then the salesman will hang onto it for a
couple of weeks riding. He rides a KTM 690 Motard and is looking forward
to having a play.
To top off a good day, a mate has just scored a 350V8 alloy hull jet
boat.....looks like playing in rapids will be added to the 'to-do' list.

...now sittin' in the bushes in front of the judge's house and typin' usenet
messages on my smartphone.

LOL.....despite my scofflaw outlook, when they pin me down and get me
before the judge, I do as he says. No grudges against the judges. :)

By the way, that was darned good humor! I loved it!
But what are we to think when the man walks out of court and right into a
gun shop?

That he lives out of town and doesn't have a licence (except to go to
work and back) so he gets all his 'supplies' while he's got a driver?
Now, if I'd gone to the gun shop before heading to court......... :)
