20 years ago I bought a honda spree and it cost $800. A few years later I
sold it for $300.
Nowadays, a bicycle can cost you $400.
The other posters are right. When I rode this moped, the top speed was
between 25mph to 30mph and it was very frustrating because there were always
cars tailing me hoping out loud that I'd go faster.
Eventually I bite the bullet an got a motorcycle endorsement.

Try $2000 (It can cost even more but that's the point where you can get a
decent carbon frame and decent components without having to put it all together
yourself).

On the other hand, you can get a surprisingly good bicycle, with
aluminum frame with nice-looking welds, for about $100.
