Got out to the lake house early today so thought I would ride my bike
into Tyler Texas to go to Scooter Pete's new place. I left about 1530
and returned home at 1615. Only made it 15 miles and turned around and
came home, got into my swim suit and hit the lake. The temperature was
about 104 and with the sun reflection off of the roads it musta been 120.
I could hardly breath, so I didn't get to buy and new stuff from the new
stuff place I found in Tyler. I'll get up early in the morning and see
if I can't make it there when they open. It's suppose to be hotter
tomorrow and Sunday.
I did go riding tonight for an hour and half. Had a coupla things go bad
for me. One was I had some sweat fixin to drip in my eyes from my
glasses, so I tilted my head back a little and when I did that I hit a
cluster f*&*K of bugs and one went up my nose and was buzzing around my
sinus cavity....Jesus, talk about an emergency stop! I did a good snot
blow, which I never do, but I did because I didn't have a handkerchief.
The bug came out and so did some snot and all of ended up on my brand new
Danner boots. CRAP! Then I ended up on I-20 heading west towards Tyler
from Longview and got passed at 85mph by a friggin semi-truck carrying
friggin chickens. I was getting bombed with chicken feathers and chicken
shit and various other chicken parts. I thought about passing the truck
and giving him the ole finger, but, was it really worth it?
So before I head out to buy more stuff at Scooter Petes in Tyler Texas, I
gotta clean chicken shit off my new bike.......Think I'll start carrying
a paint ball gun!

Amongst all that "stuff" you were looking for - was

Bugs iz one o' the reasons I wear one...

I have one, but I prefer the open face one as I have a windshield, I
might be a little bit taller than my shield needs to be... I've already
adjusted it all the way up. Now I need more stuff, and wind shield
extender is needed.

Sorry Scott, but TMML. Only because it reminded me of such
stuff that's happened to me.
