This stash of used crankcase oil plus a gallon that split and spilled
over the basement floor a couple of years ago represent in excess of
80 thousand miles of Goldwing-riding bliss:

I almost hate having had to cart it off to the recycling center today,
but I'm determined to clear out, decontaminate, and insulate my root
cellar to store part of this year's apple crop.

That's a lot of oil. Did the spilt gallon soak into a dirt floor?

It will be sad to see it go, I'm sure.
Like losing a pet.
