Sometimes I will be on one of my "naked bikes", and the temperature will
drop into or below the 40s. That's when I wish I was riding something else.

Yeah but you're californian...don't you guys like freeze up and die
when it drops below 40F?
22F @ 70mph (indicated) on a nekkid wing and I'm comfortable for 100mi
+. <shrug> not everyone can though.
