Nice Ride going down today

   Me n the Mrs will be heading out soon. I'm just waiting for
her to finish getting ready and we'll be on our way. In the meantime
I thought some of you folks who have bikes stored for the winter
might enjoy........We'll be leaving our house in Jacksonville on the
new bike and heading over to A!A then south along the coast. There's
a bit of traffic till we get out of The Jax Beach area then it is a
straight
2 lane highway shot for 30 miles along the ocean to St Augustine where
we will stop and check out some of the Art Galleries and such, maybe
head on over to Osteen's (arguably the best seafood in North
Florida).
for a lat lunch.  The the plan is to head west on over to Green Cove
Springs
on the St Johns River and spend some time with some friends there.
Finally
back on Rt 17  to Jax and Home. The weather is beautiful for it;  a
light
west breeze, temps in the mid 70's and a few high fleecy clouds.
A great day for a ride.

   Sure did, We checked it before we left. It was a tad
bit on the windy side but other than that, a great day for a bike
ride.

 
Are you from Jacksonville Beach area?  I grew up there. I went to Duncan U
Fletcher until  December 69, when we moved to the Dallas area. Is Osteen's
the place where you have to have a Florida DL to eat there?  Green Cove
used to be a really nice spot, I bet its changed in the 40 years since
I've been there...

recognize the place.
I grew up In Florida. Mostly South /central Florida around Cocoa Beach
and only
moved to jacksonville about 10 years ago (job). Osteen's  has been in
St Augustine
for many years, I remember going there when I was little kid but I
don't remembr them a
sking for a Florida DL tho. Could have been tho, it s that kind of
place where locals go
to eat.
Green Cove Springs really has not changed all that much. Still a place
to
go when you don't want do do anything.
