Not to sound like Mr.gloom and doom but just ask the 6.5+Billion
elephants standing in the room with us that no one wants to talk
about. At out current Technology maturity this planet Earth of ours
can sustain a maximum of maybe 1 billion people without screwing up
things more than they already are. A Manhattan sized asteroid or a
total Nuclear war would be a blessing in disguise at this point in
time. Then the survivors "and there would be a few million" could
start over and hopefully have learned from our mistakes of gluttony
and overpopulation; the "route causation" of this worlds problems. And
I'm just as much to blame as the rest of you but not afraid to read
the writing on the wall..
Painfully, Bob Nixon..

And I was just thinking it is a long weekend, the sun is shining, the
bike is ready to ride and it is a payday week. Life is pretty damn good.
Now I have to clean up all that elephant poop.

If you've got elephants wandering around in your locale, Don, things are
a good deal worse than I thought. Maybe Bob N. was right, after all...;-)

Actually Don, you Canadians are a role model you should be proud of:
1) You've got way more oil than we do.
2) You're about 5X the size of California with about the same
population.
3) You're $$ is now worth more than ours which wasn't always the case.
4) You've got some of the best designed Nuclear reactors in the World
(though not Thorium based as yet).
5) You've got some of the most beautiful landscape (and lots of it is
unspoiled by human as yet) in the world.
6) You're people are some of the happiest+(good host's) in the World.
Too bad we all couldn't be a little more like you Canuks-:)
BTW, I'm riding tomorrow too.

Well I am glad to hear you are going riding tomorrow, and as we Canucks
are fond of saying, we have the best back yard in the world.
