Did a Road King demo ride this morning. Fantastic bike. Glass
smooth, neutral ergos, fabulous front brakes, good ground clearance,
sufficient power, and a happy passenger.
What's not to like?

Wind and bugs in your face. Some riders install a bat-wing fairing,
making it look like an EG.

Road King has a nice light windscreen that I believe can be taken off
quickly, without tools if it's hot out. It was actually just a tad
taller than I prefer as I had to rise up to look over it, but as long
as you keep it clean, looking thru it isn't such a big deal.

Don't care to add such mass to my forks. Popular, but I'd go with the
Road Glide frame mounted fairing if I decide I can't live with the
radio...and I probably can't.

Many of the available batwings are similar in weight to the windshield and
are quick detach.
Memphis Shades makes one.

The only use I see in the fairing is housing a decent radio since
there would be no place on the RK to put my XM puck.
I like the fact the RG has a tach and a lockable gas cap. Hopefully,
one that doesn't require removing...
