Been chomping at the bit to get out and ride. This has been a long, cold
winter and there's still 2-3 ft. of snow in the woods. Snowmobile trails
don't close until the end of the month. Had the charger on the battery a
couple weeks ago and tried to start the bike this weekend. With -10 degrees
overnight, the bike didn't agree.
Today it was above zero this morning and got up to 40 when I was at work.
Got home, fired up the bike and headed out. Don't think the grin ever left
my face. Had to stop and warm the hands over the muffler about 3/4 of the
way thru.
Now I'm home, have some warm food in my stomach and such a good feeling of
being out there, if only for a short time.
Now to hop into a very warm shower and unchill. Sue

Bravo, Sue! But did your bike get covered with sand and salt?

Yes, but I knew that would happen. Cleaned it off with warm water when I
got back.
That fresh air did me in. Just woke up on the couch in time to go to bed.

I'm a 40 F and up kind of guy myself. We've had weather lately that I
could have ridden in. The only trouble is that the snow melt is running
across the roads in some places so I'd be coated in muddy road spray if I
tried it. Getting close though.

I avoided most of the melt across the roads but still washed the bike when I
got back. Lots of salt out there. It felt soooo good.
