Has anyone here ordered from Ron Ayers www.ronayers.com ? Are they
reputable? I just ordered a bunch from them including new tires for my
spirit. Me 880s front was $79.00 and Rear $117 with $10 each shipping so it
was $216 for front and rear tire shipped. My local dealer was right at $170
including tax for just the rear tire.
Since they seemed so good on the tires I went ahead and bought everything
else I was going to get from them as they have a wonderful online parts
ordering system. It shows the actual Honda parts microfiche and allows you
to order OEM Honda parts.
In the end I bought the two tires, front brake pads, rear brake pads, gear
oil for the shaft drive, 5 quarts of Honda 10w40 oil, an air filter, spark
plugs, an oil filter, and a cap for the kick stand that fell off and I spent
$360.37 shipped.
This seems to good to be true since my local dealer wanted almost $300 for
just the two tires. Am I going to regret doing this in a month and have to
dispute this charge with my credit card company or are these folks legit?

Don't you think you should have asked this question BEFORE ordering the
parts? Yes, they are legit. I've bought tires and a few hundred dollars
worth of parts from Ron Ayers on more than one occasion.

Yes I guess I should have ask before but I tend to rely on the fact I can
dispute a charge with my credit card if I do not get the product and to date
I have likely bought over $20,000 in stuff online and not got burnt yet.

I have ordered from them in the past with zero complaints. I do have a set
of Dunlop's ordered for my HD and they have not shipped in a week. My guess
with Dunlop's strike the tires are on BO. No problem yet 'cuz I am not
riding much in North Dakota any way!!
I have never heard a complaint about www.ronayers.com on any group so I
would believe you will be satisfied.

I have never ordered from Ron Ayers but I have heard from
others they are reputable.
Aren't you putting the cart before the horse?
For one, I never make a first time large order until I am
satisfied with a smaller one. As a test case, I would have
ordered say, 1 tyre. Then if received faithfully without
problems, makes another larger order.
Is the order taking too long to arrive? Did you request a
tracking number or do they have such, so you can track your
order?
I've had several orders get hosed up because UPS misdelivered
or mis-shipped to wrong location.
About 8 years ago, UPS shipped a PC hard drive to a definitely
wrong address 30 miles away. Fortunately, person's supervisor
recognised my name and called me. (Both are small towns,
something big city people don't understand.)
Roughly 4 years ago, I saw UPS on-line tracking stop at a
location in Minnesota, heading opposite to where I live and
about 1,000 miles off course. I called them, they rerouted to
my address.
Orders can get screwed up in shipping, I value the tracking
number system.
