New coils installed in the Daytona, cracked windscreen replaced, tires
aired up, battery's on charge. Gotta reinstall the tank, rear cowl and
seat when the battery is charged up tonight. A couple shots of
starting fluid and we'll have ignition. Bring it up to operating temp,
change the oil and filter, clean and lube the chain and it's ready for
the road. It'll need new tires installed by the end of May, but I have
them already here. Went whole hog and got me some Pilot Road 2s for
this go round.
Still have to warm it up completely, change the oil and filter, clean
and lube the chain, then rescuff the tires. I'll be damned if having
one broke bike is going to stop me from riding. hehe The GS still has
to get into the shop for it's clutch slave cylinder failure incident.
Don, you say them roads are twisty up there, eh? ;) I may say the
hell with the GS and ride the 1200 out. Gas mileage is about the same,
but range is a bit shorter. 200 on the Triumph and 300 on the BMW.
Bryan, bring the CBR up to New Denver and lets show these gentlemen our
tail lights. <g>

I suspect you will have fun with these roads regardless of what you are
riding.

You could do that, but I know where all the great ice cream shops are. ;-)

I'm an ex-Goldwing rider. I can smell ice cream at 10 miles! ;)

Say what you want, but with our severely limited riding seasons, only
having one bike is asking for trouble. There's three in my garage but
only one of them is really mine. I've been thinking about a KLR650
or DR650 for some time and maybe next time the FJR is down for
maintenance for an extended period I will just buy one.

It's all back together, awaiting a battery on the charger now. I even
wiped it all down with HD spray polish. That should get me thru this
season. lmao
