Oh well, Brian, you can't please everyone.

Dizzy's inflammatory comments constitute a line of reasoning called
_ad hominem_, a Latin phrase short for "argumentum ad hominem"
which translates roughly as an "argument against the person".

The proper reply is something like: Utinam logica falsa tuam
philosophiam totam suffodiant. ("May faulty logic undermine
your entire philosophy".)

I hope for your sake that reading of what BrianNZ wrote would lead you
to a similar conclusion as mine.

There was a case locally a couple of days ago...
A woman called the cops and told them her boyfriend was driving a
stolen car. They told her to stay calm, act normally and they'd take
care of it. The perp was near a school, so they waited until they got
in the car and moved out of the area. Then they boxed him in. He tried
to escape, ramming the cop cars. The cops fired numerous shots into
the car. The perp was captured unharmed. The woman who made the call
was shot dead.

Wait a minute, there's some crucial information missing here.  Was the woman
in the car with the guy and got shot by police, or was she just by some
weird coincidence in the line of fire or did the guy who stole the car shoot
her or what?
