On my rather modest motorcycle, all of these locks are keyed alike:
a)Ignition.
b)Gas cap.
c)Helmet lock.
d)Steering lock.
Question:
Let's assume I order, for example, a new ignition switch from
BikeBandit.
How do I get it keyed the same as my present ignition switch?

Taking a wild guess, perhaps by taking the new switch and old
key to a locksmith.
I've modified flat tumbler saddlebag lock cylinders to match
my ignition key by removing the cylinder, inserting the key
and filing down the protruding tumbler ends, but this typicially
leaves the cylinder secured by one or two less tumblers than
it started with.

Ryan - Sales: Hello : ) Welcome to BikeBandit.com!
Ryan - Sales: How may I assist you today?
dashley@gmail.com: I have 4 locks keyed the same way on my motorcycle.
dashley@gmail.com: If I order, for example, a new gas cap, how do I
get it keyed the same as the other three locks?
dashley@gmail.com: The four locks are, by the way, steering lock, gas
cap, ignition switch, and helmet lock.
Ryan - Sales: Maybe by a locksmith?
Ryan - Sales: But the gas cap will come with its own keys.
dashley@gmail.com: Ah, I see. So I can't specify the key number on the
order, and I can't order all four lock cylinders at the same time as a
set?
Ryan - Sales: Unfortunately not.
dashley@gmail.com: Thanks for the help.
Ryan - Sales: Have you tried stopping by your local Honda Dealer to
see if the can key it?
Ryan - Sales: They may be able to cut a key for you.
dashley@gmail.com: They also suggested a locksmith. It just seemed to
me that there might be a way when ordering.

Alternately, had you ever considered taking it to a locksmith ?
If the key or lock have identifying numbers, possibly you could
wade through the manufacturers ordering process, but if you
can't find a dealer that knows how to do this, you're SOL.
Perhaps you could take the lock to a locksmith and have it
re-keyed instead.

I wanted a spare key for a Sportster . The dealer ordered it from the number
on my key . Said if I wanted a new lock to go with it , he could order that
too . Locks for Harley tourpaks and saddlebags are available as sets - they
don't use the same key as the ignition . Locks for the gas cap are available
keyed the same as the ignition , just gotta order it by the key number .
Too bad all mfr's don't do it this way ...
