Might be cool, and might have been fun, but talk about the wrong tool
for the job...
Notice the original author's comments about chewing up his tires,
too. Also, I was surprised that there were no sparks visible in any
of those pictures.

True, but what is? The difference between a real race (GP) bike and a stock
"sports bike" is about the same as between the latter and a bagger.

That, of course, depends a whole lot on just what "stock sports bike"
you'd be talking about, but I don't think very many of them would be
in danger of grinding certain bits off if they got much past 30
degrees off the straightupandicular.
