Hey all.
I need some advice about how to raise the passenger pegs on my '00
Sprint RS by about 2-3 inches. My son can just barely tippy-toe the
pegs, and I'd rather have him well grounded. I don't want a permanent
"weld it" solution, as other passengers are just fine.
I'm thinking there HAS to be something more elegant than zip tying
some 2x4 blocks on...
Any mechanical geniuses want to chime in? Or does anyone have one of
those 3D printers they want to try out?

Yeah, he'd have a hard time walking around with those 2x4s on his shoes, too
(a little levity).
The first thing I thought of though were 2x4s. Paint them black, set them
on top of the pegs, run a couple bolts through them, and wing nut a plate
onto the bottom under the bike's peg. Probably have to be some pretty big
eared wing-nuts to be able to tighten the onto the pegs enough so they don't
shift while in use.
I found a pic of you bike, and it seems it wouldn't be too difficult to
raise the pegs. Bolt a piece of steel to the peg hole and bolt the peg to
the piece of steel.

That side of the bike is much easier. The other side is in tight to
the
exhaust can. I'm a bit concerned about keeping the 2x4 block from
free rotating around the peg. I suppose if I cranked it tight enough
that would be less of an issue.
I'll try to get a picture up of the other side.

Oh yeah, I forgot about pipes.
