Sorry, but the old "only criminals and terrorists should worry" is just a
cliché that has no validity in real life.
Q: Why?
A: Because it assumes honesty on the part of the folks who enforce the law,
and, like Oliver North or Dick Cheney, those folks frequently believe that
they are above the law.
So when a government official smiles and tells you that "only criminals and
terrorists should worry" about having their rights suspended, grab your
wallet with one hand and your rifle with the other.

Thank you tovarish Beria for that resounding explanation...

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational
basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the
unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and
spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from
fiddling with it.

The irony is even thicker than usual. The treasonous war
criminals, torturers, and child butchering terrorists on the
Bush regime clain to be going after people who commit "acts of
violence in Iraq". Apparently, Bush doesn't consider bombing
innocent women and children to be an act of violence. Bush and
his apologists are quite clearly insane.
"They are waging a campaign of murder and destruction. And
there is no limit to the innocent lives they are willing to
take... men with blind hatred and armed with lethal weapons
who are capable of any atrocity... they respect no laws of
warfare or morality."

Here's what happens to steel framed buildings exposed
to raging infernos for hours on end.

On 9-11-01, WTC7, a 47 story steel framed building, which
had only small, random fires, dropped in perfect symmetry
at near free fall speed as in a perfectly executed controlled
demolition.
