Ducati Desmo RR: Nope. Not pretty by bike streetbike standards (at least
up close), and not excessive by racebike standards.

Ducati Desmo RR: Yes for a streetbike, no for a racebike.

Ducati Desmo RR: Time will tell I guess.

umm, say what? $75000 not a lot of money? It's more than twice the
per capita income in the US. How many people will pay twice their
yearly income on a vehicle? Any vehicle, much less a frivolous toy?

There are a huge lot of people at the low end of the wage scale that bring
down the average wage, and I think we can agree that Ducati is not likely
marketing this to your average retail worker. If you are a skilled worker,
and you really want one, it's not hard.

While I think that there are relatively few who would say that it
wasn't "a lot of money" there are certainly enough who have it and are
willing to spend it to keep Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc in
business. If you put all the options on it you can even run a Hummer
up to about that level.

IOW, not "most anybody", just those who make a lot more money than
most anybody. Far less than 20% of Americans make $75000/year. Nobody
will finace a vehicle that's equal to your yearly income. The most
I've ever spent on a vehicle was less than half of my yearly income.
