It needs to meet emissions - there is an aftermarket exhaust that won't
do that, and will result in extra horsepower. I'm sure there is some
re-mapping that can be done for even more power. Other than that, you have
the suspension ($$$), engine ($$$$$), trany, brakes, wheels, etc... that are
all race ready. The only thing you would need to do to make the bike track
worthy is to put some race bodywork on and safety wire everything.
You just can't seem to get it - this bike should at the very least be able
to compete with a FIM superbike - I believe those run you around $100K at
least. $75K for what they are offering is a steal. Real race bikes are
expensive. The claim is that this is a street legal version of a GP race
bike.

That's nice. Let them feature it in something called 'street
legal race bikes' or whatever. Not 'Worlds Most Luxurious
Motorcycles'.

Yeah, once proven wrong, point at the source. Ducati did NOT author
that web page.

I completely agree. Ducati never said it was a luxury bike....

The word luxurious is defined:
- given to pleasure, esp. of the senses; voluptuous
- excessively ornate; overelaborate
- Of a sumptuous, costly, or rich variety
- rich and superior in quality
among other descriptions. In reality it's purpose is to be exclusive and
rare, owned by a few individuals. It really doesn't matter how exactly it
may be superior, it's really just bling. I think the Ducati fits, likely at
the bottom end as at $75000 it's not a lot of money and most anybody who
wanted one badly enough could manage it.
