And the reason that you won't wind up with an undrillable
broken drill bit as you open the hole out is ????

Also, things that can't be drilled can always be ground out
of existence with the appropriate carborundum grinding bit.

Well, a broken EZ-Out can be eroded out with an Electric Discharge
Machine, but you'd probably have to remove everything from the frame
and carry the bare frame into the shop what specializes in broken
fastener removal.

I remember a case that happened when I was at Edwards AFB.

A tech sergeant broke one of the engine mount bolts on a J-33 turbo
jet engine.

He drilled a hole in the bolt and inserted an EZ-Out and broke it off.

So he somehow drilled a hole in the broken EZ-Out and screwed a
smaller EZ-Out into that hole.

I suppose he used a carbide drill.

But he broke the second EZ-Out and he was brought up on charges for
incompetence and had to pay a fine out of his monthly check...
