This was the bit that made grin the widest.

So, you're now prepped and in shape to ride to Michigan next summer.
;) Sounds like a great trip and company. Glad you had some fun.

What kind of trikes? Those Can-Ams with the two wheels in the front
are becoming quite popular around here. I can't ever remember seeing
one prior to this year and now I see them almost daily.

Heh. My feelings entirely. Of course, there are quite a few people who,
due to leg and other injuries, can no longer manage a two-wheeler. For
them, a trike makes sense.

Exactly, there are those who want to experience the "ride", even if
they cannot/can no longer ride. I'm in that boat now and I am
seriously considering a Can-Am Spyder. I suffered a massive lung
infection last fall that landed me in the ICU for three weeks and
which pretty much destroyed my lungs; I am now on supplemental oxygen
24/7. I tried riding my Blackbird one time and found that, even
though I could manage the oxygen with small bottles, I no longer have
the strength nor stamina to manage a heavy two-wheeler. I do feel I
could manage the Spyder, however, so as soon as the Blackbird is sold
(it's for sale now), I'll look into it.
If anyone in northern California might be intersted in my 'bird,
contact me at: kewinter 'at' gmail 'dot' com and I'll send details.
