Tony and Susan Alamo would go to Hollyweird and recruit street kids

Missouri) is a first generation American preacher...

Hoffman was born in Missouri to Jewish-Romanian parents in 1934.

I seem to vaguely recall that Jesus wanted the street kids
to go out on fruit and vegetable picking crews and then turn
their earnings over to Tony and Susan to further God's work.

Didn't they also have a TV show for a while ?

Way saner than Jim Jones or David Koresh though.
