I have the Rocket "Alter Ego" jacket and pants. The jacket with all 3 layers
is fine in cold/wet weather, and stripped to the mesh keeps dehydration to
less than just a T-shirt crossing the western deserts in summer. I am
certain the double armor prevented a busted elbow a few years ago. The pants
don't have much vent panel area, but do OK and laso have the removable
internal rain layer.
