The only decent cup of coffee I tasted in the States was in the house of
some Italian co-workers who imported their own coffee and coffeemachine.

Set to that standard, the coffee at McDonalds definitely is not bad,
especially considering the price. Starbucks is overpriced and
ridiculously bad coffee for people who don't know what real coffee is.

Come to think of it, price/quality-wise the coffee at Dunkin' Donuts is
not bad either.

They've been putting major effort into improving their coffee. BK as
well. Neither has what one would describe as "great coffee" but it's
a lot better than it was and I no longer have to disguise the foulness
of it with sugar and cream just to get some hot caffeine down me.

Well, actually Starbucks is pretty good coffee flavored milkshakes.
Where you get in trouble is when you mistake the flavoring for coffee
and try to drink it straight.

Actually as restaurant coffee goes theirs is quite highly regarded by
many aficionados.
