I don't like their coffee much, but their breakfasts I do enjoy quite a
lot.

If you're in New England and want a table service breakfast, Friendlys
is a better bet for coffee (they leave you a full thermal carafe on
the table instead of having the servers go around topping up
individual cups--I've never investigated their techniques and perhaps
I should) but I don't like their breakfasts all that much for some
reason.

It's difficult to screw up bacon, eggs, and hash browns, but I
remember this little greasy spoon in Selma Alabama -just east of the
bridge- that had the trick down pat. Gork!
Up until then, I'd been operating on the theory that if you saw
several cops eating at a place, the food would at least be decent.

I no longer adhere to that theory, but after 250 miles of hot freeway
riding today I'm adhereing to various other things, so it's off to the
shower for me!

heh, I don't even go by the truck driver theory. For me it's just one
of those things. You'll know when you know, ya know. I don't even
judge a place by how many motorcycles are out front.

Well, they _were_ Alabama cops.
