Wait one:  that depends on what tires you choose to put on your
sportbike and how you ride it.

The BT-020s on my NT700 have still got plenty of tread (1/2?  1/3?)
left with over 8,000 miles on them, and those same tires on a lighter
600cc sportbikes should last at least that long if they're being used
primarily for touring instead of scraping pegs in the twisties.

Hardly unusual to London despatch riders. I used to do 2000 miles a
month, or thereabouts, on a sub-250cc bike.
