Do what I do when you get tired of riding.

Tear the frickin' bike apart and put the small bits in boxes so you'll
remember where they go. Make notes and take photos.

In a couple of months, you'll get tired of looking at it all tore up and
covered with dust. Soon, you or someone else, will want it put back
together again. Then you'll discover you've forgotten where some stuff goes
even though you documented everything. In time, you'll remember and finally
figure it out.

Once together, you'll want to ride it again to see if it's the same, worse,
or better. Also, the warden (ergo, lol) will appreciate it and she'll boost
your ego a bit with a "Good job, Bob!" and maybe a ride to a steak dinner.

LOL! Last time I looked, yes.

I was bequeathed that handle after I somehow managed to highside a Harley in
the dirt and bent the peg brackets all up. I was somewhere on a dirt road
where I shouldn't have been on nice hard and slick Dunlop street tires.
Lesson learned. Least the brackets bent and didn't snap off so I could get
the bike home (although it looked like hell and felt more embarrassed at the
time than the bike did).

The lol wanted me to use "Firepants" long ago when my cheap Kmart polyester
snow pants (it was cold and we stopped there to get warmer duds) burst into
flames off the Harley pipe. Didn't much care for that handle personally.
She still has a warped sense off humor about it. Least she discovered it
soon enough before the whole pants went up in flames. Good thing it rained
a bit too.

Btw, I hate sand on asphalt too, especially on a higher HP sportbike.
Since, I've learned to pay for softer rubber for more grip, eat the cost
increase for same and silently cuss the mileage loss, and try and ride on
anything but sand or dirt.

B~ (fwiw, the "~" is what my beg bracket looked like...bent...plus, I'm
too lazy to type out the rest.)

I think if a woman wanted to name me "Firepants," I wear it with
honor.

Firepants you are.

Sounds to me like a name a woman would give a guy for fire-breathing
flatulence.
