A favorite of mine is "The knights who go shopping" Stevie Ray Vaughn.
My son and I had planned that as a halloween costume at one time.

That's right. To this day I still can't hear the real lyrics. All I hear
is:
The knights that go shopping
Yeah, that's a thing

I always liked the Bruce Springsteen penned "Blinded by the Light"
that was made popular by Manfred Mann & the Earth Band:
misheard lyric "Dressed up like a douche..."
real lyric "Dressed up like a dude, you...."

I always heard "douche" in that one too. Which in a gross sort of way
kind of fit with the next line "another runner in the night".
Several Web sites say it's "revved up like a deuce" which would also fit
with being a runner in the night, however I wasn't aware that a '32 Ford
was renowned for its ability to rev.
