All depends on how the skeeters are at your Field Day site. I
haven't done a Field Day in years, but it's hell to be on the night
shift and having every critter within five miles all zeroing in on
your lantern when you're outside with a rig!

Yep. Used to do night shift at field day in a park on the shore of Lake
Charlevoix. We used one RV for sleeping and another for operating. Skeeters
are unofficially Michigan's state bird.

Well, I just checked and it looks like I'll be off from work on Field
Day weekend this year. Maybe I'll contact some of you. My club uses
WD2K as our Field Day callsign.
And you guys ain't seen anything like the skeeters where I grew up in NJ.

Good luck on Field Day, but I haven't worked HF in
years and years. Last time I did, in fact, was as part of
a Field Day crew here in CO (operating under W0BP,
good ol' Dubya Zero Baked Potato...).
