Why would you want anti-lock brakes if they won't slow you down?

Ah; that explains it. But I wonder how he found out it was possible
to do that?
It would have never occured to me to twist it WFO and grab a handfull
of brakes at the same time just to see what would happen...

I believe that stunt riders try things that regular motorcyclists
simply don't think to try.

Substitute "survivors" for "regular motorcyclists" and I'd go with
that.
