| Those things are always hard for me to watch.
They happen in under-developed countries. Otherwise, predators could get
their food from supermarkets like we do :).

When I saw the header I thought this might be about some kind of hybrid
version of Ubuntu!

10 points for good humor on that one!
Seriously ... I'm very aware that killing and eating are unavoidable.
Anyone who eats at Taco Bell (and I just got back from there)
participates. At lunch, I participated in killing both a cow and a
chicken.
I remember from historical accounts of the early settlers, they used
to affix knives to long sticks and wait near deer trails at night.
They would try to mortally wound a deer by stabbing it then track it
down. Brutal. But necessary to survive.
These days, there are hunters out there with weapons that would make a
Marine Corps sniper proud, and they bait the animals. It isn't
hunting. It is essentially assasination, or a reinvented mouse trap,
or a different sort of video game.
I don't object to shooting animals with serious weapons, but they
really shouldn't call it hunting. The weaponry is too good these
days. I figure that even at my age, I could down a deer from at least
300m. Hell, a deer couldn't even see me at that range.
They need to outlaw firearm hunting and go back to knives and long
sticks ...

My daughter used to love that show. I always wondered what
happened to it...

According to my Sling access, it comes on Boomarang (Channel 175 on Dish
Network). Usually late at night or very early in the morning. 2030 and
0030.
Got DVR?
