It isn't disturbing to HER because she doesen't know what the
fuck she is doing.  She's getting the same amount of fun out of
it that the average 4 year old gets out of sitting down with a big
metal spoon and mommy's pots and pans and banging the crap
out of them.

What the sick part is, is that people actually think it's cute for
kids who are too young to understand what damage a firearm
can do, to be set down to fire one.

If your going to raise kids to shoot you start them with a lever
action bb gun then when the day comes that inveitably they shoot
eash other in the ass, they don't get killed, and they learn that
guns really can hurt.  Once that happens and they start to develop
a healthy respect for the gun, then it's OK to move up to something
with a bit more power.

The machine gun is a tool.  Would you be disturbed by the image of a little
girl wielding a hammer or screwdriver?  If so, WHY?

To me, the most disturbing part of the video is that not a single person in
it knew how to fire the weapons that they were wielding.  I've got no
problem with a little girl (properly supervised, of course) firing a machine
gun.  I just wish someone there knew how to fire it PROPERLY, and was
willing to coach her a little bit.  (Any IDIOT can point a barrel in a
general direction and hold the trigger for several seconds)  I would have
been right down there beside the little girl teaching her how to aim, how to
adjust the sights (so she's more likely to hit what she's aiming at), and
how to fire in short bursts (as opposed to dozens of rounds per trigger
pull), among other things.  With a little coaching from me, that little girl
could have been a halfway decent marksman in no time.  I taught my wife
(who'd never handled a weapon before) how to fire a pistol, and she
qualified with it on a real moving target firing range a few minutes later.
Her score wasn't fantastic, but it was passing!  Meanwhile, I know people
who've been carrying a pistol for years who still have trouble on the same
course.  :)  A tool is always safer and more efficient if the operator is
properly trained in how to use it.  The little girl in the video knows how
to waste ammo, and that's about all she learned from the excercise.

That looked like a heck of a lot of fun.  I wonder how much money that
all cost.
