Somebody lost a black, right side ST1100 side bag in Big Bend area in the last
couple of weeks.  It's been found.

Not mine, but one suggestion:

I always keep a strap running around the outside of
the bag and rack, holding the bag closed and keeping it
attached to the rack.

The summer before last I had an attachment lock
fail and found the bag banging around on the rack
secured only by the strap.

I had a latch fail (because I hooked it up wrong) and noticed it just
about the same time I saw the saddlebag bouncing along the side of the
road.

Now, almost $1100.00 later, two strategically placed wire ties ensure
that will never happen again.

And about the most futile posting I've seen here in ages :-)

Your sig sep's bust, btw. It needs a space after the dash-dash to work
properly.

Works properly on this side of the pond.  All my sigs here since 1995 haven't
had a space after the dashes and you never complained. Well, not about that
anyway. The NGG never complained, they even included me on the Git Page. I
notice you didn't make the cut.  Sorry.
