My husband has been riding motorcycles  forever.  He recently bought me
a 2002 Derbi scooter (49c.c.).  I'm just learning  how to ride.  Granted
it is only a scooter, but I'm loving it, having fun and am learning.  I
was wondering if there is any one out there who rides scooters ?  When I
master my scooter, my husband will get me a bigger scooter or bike so I
can go faster than 45 m.p.h.  I'm glad my husband introduced me to the
world of bikes.  They are soooooo fun.

I bought an 80cc Honda scooter for my wife and my daughter, though I'm
usually the only one who rides it anymore back 'n forth to the store
on weekend mornings.

I had bought an 80's 400cc motorcycle for the wife, but she found it
too intimidating, so I sold the bike and bought the scooter. Both she
and my daughter zip around the neighborhood handily - when they ride
it.

They're fun, easy and unintimidating. I've wondered what a 600cc
sccoter would feel like, but since they cost as much as a motorcycle,
I won't be buying one.

Enjoy your scooter. you may have gotten bitten and will soon find
yourself on a Honda VLX600 or bigger.

I've got a Stella and a Zuma. Depending on where you live, there are
a bunch of scooter groups. Check out Yahoo groups to search for a
group in your area.
