They look better than the shots I got with my point-and-shoot
with its paltry 3x zoom. Love the asymmetry of the back tire.

They all aren't that great. I've gotten MUCH, MUCH better shots from
some of the local club races recently. I'm still uploading pics from the
weekend. About 400 in all. And I have about 700+ to upload from two
weeks ago.
I really need to get myself a better lens for taking these pics.

there a are a few very fine snapshots I importing to my collection.
you will never get 100% pictures perfect. I usually throw out 60-70% of
them and often reprocess a bit: crop/add some light/etc.
I am using p&s finepix 30fd as ultra portable and durable camera. the
DSLR are just not feasible for me. new Canon G9 looks like a good
compromise between size and quality.

See the Olympus DSLR I have does a FINE job 99% of the time. But I still
throw away 30% of my pics. At the $700 price with a 15-50mm, and
40-150MM lens, it was the best "bang for the buck" camera. But I also
carry a cheap P&S Fuji as well when traveling on the bike. NOTHING beats
the Fuji cheap/small P&S for image quality IMHO.

nothing. not even the newest Fujifilm 50fd. a big time disappointment.
who needs 12mpx in the p&s. my 6pmx is doing well especially in dark
when compared with other but is missing image stabilization.
