cite? I peruse the CWC site and many other sources pertaining to the
First generation of Gold Wing. Never saw anything you mention of early
wear. Mine is over 100,000 with the original bits and pieces.
I'll take you word on the newer stuff BUT the early I'm familar with
that's why I asked.

This site shows an 1100 Goldwing, parts are same as GL1000.

This one in picture 27 shows driveshaft spline, I have three on the shelf
that are more than 75% de-splined from lack of lubrication.

Last time I did my tire change on my Wing, the dealers didn't have
any Honda grease, so I got me some Polaris U-joint grease with a high
moly content. What percentage, I don't know...
Anyone have an idea?
