Hey guys. I'm back. I didn't think it would be a year between posts,
but wow can life chew up your time. Don't worry, I've lurked from
time to time, so I've been able to keep up to speed on the important
things like US politics and 9-11 conspiracy theories...
Just wanted to stop in and say hi, and shamelessly plug a charity
motorcycle ride I'm holding. You don't need to be anywhere near me to
go on it either. Last year I had guys from as far away as Alaska, New
Zealand, and even Malawi riding in it. (cool video is on the
website...)
www.RideForDoug.com
It's an event to raise money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy.
Doug is my son, and while I had the joy of taking this little 5 year
old biker on his first motorcycle ride this weekend, statistics show
that he'll be confined to a wheelchair by age 12. There's no known
cure. Yet. All proceeds from the ride go to helping kids with
Muscular Dystrophy.
I've got pictures up from last year's ride, as well as some video shot
by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman while filming Long Way Down.
They did part of their riding that day for Doug, and I've put up the
video of their message to him.
So on June 1st, take the bike out, and put some miles on for Doug.
(contact me for more info if you want to hold your own RFD event. I
can hook you up.)

Cam it's good to see you back. My apologies for not answering your
email. It got picked up in my spam filter which I didn't check until
last night.
Your website looks great and I am glad to hear your ride went well
last year.
There is a chance I will be in the lower mainland area on June 1st and
if I am, for sure I will join you folks. If I am not there I will try
to do something out here in support of the "Ride for Doug"
It's a great cause, one we should all support.

Yeah. Spam filters. Necessary evil.

Thanks! You were part of last year's ride too. I pointed out your
web page for it to a few people.

Excellent. If you're around, the BC Northern Stars have it on their
ride calendar - you can meet up with old friends at the same time.

Hi Cam,
Which state (or country) is the "lower mainland?"
