If we can run Predators and a Mars rover and they're using
human operated fork lifts, you figure it might be a question
of money rather than technology ?

No matter what they use, it's going to break and somebody is going to have
to fix it. And any space that a human goes into had to comply with DOE and
OSHA regs.
Maybe since you know all the solutions you should go offer your services.

Uh, no, try to keep track: *you're* the one claiming to have the
solutions (mohole etc.) and Rob's the one claiming that you *don't*.
And so far, from an unbiased viewpoint, he's winning hands down.

One might suspect you either tow a broken vehicle
out with another vehicle or take a one time exposure,
not a daily dose.
So we can detonate a nuke to excavate a storage chamber
in a moho at the bottom of the ocean under several miles
of water, in which we'll store the waste, but anything involving
remote control is just too technically challenging ? Your
entire scheme involves locally manned machinery ?
Kids start playing with robotics in high school. Definitely
not the toughest problem in the world to crack.

I don't know all the solutions but common sense sure points
in the directions I've indicated.

Still has to comply with regulations.

Look, the big problem with Yucca Mountain is that the politicians don't like
it.

So tell us how a robot makes a politician change his vote.

So when has Congress used common sense?
