Getting the itch to start riding again, but the winter's kinda
dragging on, here in Edmonton! So I put some of the sequences taken
during our 2010 trips together into one video for something to do
(about 10 minutes worth). You're welcome to a view at:

I think I've finally got this streaming-video thing figured out now
(with better quality than YouTube), so don't be a-feared.

Thanks Ben - and nope, I was using my Go-not-so-pro left hand!

The Softie seems to fit Glady's a lot better than the Bob, not to
mention, the color brings out her femininity.
Her leg seemed really stretched trying to get around the air cleaner
on the Street Bob, but appears to lay quite naturally on the Softie.
I bet she would love you even more if you bought her a set of floor
boards for that thing. In any event, she seems to haul ass pretty
good on it. On second thought, maybe you should spend your dough on a
big bore kit for the skull bike so you can keep up!

Thanks and, yes, her and I like the colour too. It's sort of fits
with the style of the bike.

Good observation. The forward controls on the Street Bob are a bit
uncomfortable for her to reach.
On the Softail it's the opposite; the controls are not far enough
forward. In fact, I just sealed a deal today with an HD dealership to
do some Web development for them in exchange for a new set of longer-
reach forwards to replace the stock ones.

She would laugh her ass off to hear that. She HATES mid-controls and
hates floorboards even more (even after having ridden my Road Glide a
fair bit and having had 2 previous bikes with mid-controls that she's
put about 50K kms on). For her, if the bike doesn't have forward
controls, it's an absolute deal-breaker.
Myself, I like forwards and I like floorboards. Not crazy about mid-
controls though.

Yeah, I can tell she rides the Softail with more confidence and
assurance than she did the Sporty (or any other bike so far) - even
though the Softail is, by far, the largest bike of her's so far. It
also has high-performance, sticky tires on it (front and back), which
gives the machine some good road grip. The down-side is they last
only half as long as those on any other bike we've had (7K for the
rears and 12K for the fronts).
