I'm leaving tomorrow morning to pick up my "new" 1977 Gold Wing from
its current owner, in Napoleon, Ohio.  My route will be from northern
Virginia (think Leesburg) north on U.S. 15 to Interstate 70 near
Frederick, Maryland, then I-70/76 west via Breezewood and the
Pennsylvania Turnpike, following I-76 north of Pitsburgh, up to I-80
north of Akron, then I-80/90 below Lake Erie to I-475/75 south of
Toledo, then U.S. Route 6 southwest to Napoleon.   I'll be spending
Saturday night somewhere outside of Toledo (or perhaps a bit further
east along 80/90, and returning the same route on Sunday.

Any Reekites along the route up for a breakfast or lunch or dinner
meeting?   I'm buying.  I'll also have my old riding buddy Clayton
with me; he's my close old friend who was hit by a left turning pick-
up truck while riding his Moto-Guzzi in 1993, thus ending his riding
career (and very nearly his life).  Interesting guy, can really keep a
conversation hopping during a meal!

Anyway,  reply here or e-mail me if you want to meet up.  e-mail me at

You know if the RK wasn't still in the shop I'd join you!

Well that, a few thousand miles, cold, snow and ice, and I'd join you.

Crud.  I normally have Saturdays off, but one of the guys is firearms
deer hunting this weekend.  I'm taking his shifts.  Napoleon is just a
nice ride away.

I wish you luck.  The weather will be cool.  You'll be frozen solid.

I don't think so.  My good old 'murrican Chebby pick-em-up truck has a
heater!
