I put new front brake pads on Geraldine yesterday and rode 67 miles
today to seat them. I wound up at the Roadhouse in Dundee:

It was Mexican Menu evening, and I had enchiladas, beans (naturally),
and Spanish rice with a side of guac and two tankards of coffee for
$10 (tip included), which is pretty reasonable, tasty, satisfying, and
nutritious fare for a biker dive. Somehow a nip in the air always
drives me out to ride the Kettles.
We've had a sequence of chilly nights in the low 40's F, so I believe
I'm justified in declaring summer officially over even before Labor
Day gets here. I bummed, but not as badly as Emily Dickinson:

PS: I've a new news service. My ISP pulled the plug on his, saying he
had only two customers using it. It looks as though Giganews.com @
$3/mo is working.

You got ripped off, dude. That meal of antojitos should have cost you
about $5.00.
Here in California I get birria de chivo, posole, carne asada, cocido,
or camarones
or *some kind of plata fuerte* for my $10.00.
