Anybody ever attempted to take your bike through a drivethru? I was
thinking about this as I commuted in yesterday - my morning ritual is
usually a stop to Mikey-D's for breakfast and I take it back to my desk to
eat and work. Now that I'm riding in, I haven't been able to do that,
except by walking over to it, grabbing my breakfast, then walking back. No
big deal, the place is only 2 blocks from the office, but damnit! I have a
ritual to uphold. The food isn't a big problem so long as I go in, but the
drink is out of the question. I can stash the bag in my milkcrate luggage,
but where oh where to put that cup? Anybody ever tackled that problem?

I put a cup of soda/coffee in my saddlebag all the time. I use the bag
of food from the fast food place, and a sweatshirt or jacket or whatever
I have in the saddlebag to keep it in place. And often, I'm picking up
my coffee 15 miles from work. Although I don't usually go through the
drive-thru to do this, as it takes a minute or so to get it set up, and
I have to get off the bike anyway to do it.
Without getting a drink, I have gone through the drive-thru, and just
tossed the bag into my saddlebag.

Any weird stares for doing that? Seems like a pretty surreal situation,
cruising on through the drive-thru in your Concours, tossing the bag in the
back and off you go!
Coffee cups are a bit more rigid, since all coffee does is give me heartburn
I get OJ. Micky D's is starting to use those clear plastic cups for their
OJ and they don't have as much structure to them. But I guess so long as I
don't wheelie it all the way down the road I can do like you said - stuff it
in their with my work clothes.

Well, sometimes the cashiers look at me funny. But sometimes they do
that when I'm in my truck as well. Maybe it's just me...
I put a large or super-size soda cup into my bags as well. If I
remember, I ask for one of their cup holders, which does help a bit, but
as long as I have a jacket or something in the bag, the cup stays upright.
