In a surprising development, I just negotiated the return
of my long-lost CB750 chopper with the raked-out springer forks:

I have determined that this bike is useless for any purpose except:
[a] Cruising Beach Avenue at low speed trying to impress girls
and avoid cops
[b] Standing around a parking lot drinking beer with other bikers
and talking about it (while sitting on a trailer) (and that usually
applies to both us and the bike).
Well my SO (Significant Other) would not be impressed with activity [a]
(were I to mention it). Actually she's not all that thrilled about
[b] either, thinking it's a waste of time. SO's can be so unreasonable.
They just don't get the point sometimes. However, I definitely could
use the money.
Therefore I'm taking it to a local bike show, Disaster Daze
this Saturday in hopes someone will buy it.

The chopper is now in my driveway, back from the blueberry farm...
with a few owwies (the former owner dropped it at a red light).

DisasterDaze - Vancouvers greasiest motorcycle show- This Saturday! - $5
(El Dorado Hotel 2330 Kingsway)
Yes it is that time of year again! DisasterDaze only happens once a
year. 5 or 6 years running..who's counting. Get there! All cafe-racers,
oil-leaking choppers, bobbers, and vintage motorcycles welcome. Just
about everything in a garage seems to make it out to this one. Bring out
your oldest and greasiest ride. Some slick old hotrods always make it
out too. Don't miss it. Ride on down. 5pm till late. Lots of parking. We
outgrew the old Main Street location so come check out the old El Dorado
for a good time. Pinstriping, beer, flatheads, nortons, crapped out
Honda 500's, magneto sportsters that can't start. RD's parked beside
Panheads..you know the deal. Be there. This Saturday July 18th. Four
rocking bands: DeadCats, Vicious Cycles, Captain Dust and more. Everyone
welcome... See ya there!
